External Support for Families

In challenging times, seeking support is crucial. We recognise that we can all encounter moments of crisis and timely assistance is vital. Please find below a list of external organisations that can provide support on a range of issues , whether it's related to activities and advice for children, support for mental health or accessing local services such as food banks.  Please do not suffer in silence -reach out to a member of our team or seek advice from on the organisations below.

Early Help (Warrington) Early Help offers information, advice and support to children, young people and their families as soon as possible in their lives, or when issues emerge, to help prevent problems from escalating
Citizen’s Advice Bureau (Warrington CAB) Free advice on debt and money, benefits, housing, immigration, law and courts

Cost of Living Support (Liverpool) Information and guidance to help adults manage through the current cost of living crisis
Warrington Talking Therapies Part of the national NHS Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression programme for adults. This is a self-rereferral scheme
NSPCC - Keeping children safe from sexual abuse PANTS (The underwear rule) offers advice on how to help your child from sexual abuse
Childline Childline is there to help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issues they are going through
NSPCC Child Protection Helpline The NSPCC Helpline is a free 24hr service which provides counselling, information and advice to parents who need support and anyone who has concerns about a child
Samaritans The Samaritans are dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide and can offer advice and guidance 
Young Minds Provides expert knowledge to adults and young people through various options such as a Parents' Helpline, online resources, training and development, outreach work and publications
Kooth Kooth is an online mental  wellbeing community which helps children and young people feel safe and confident in exploring their concerns. It offers immediate access to an online community of peers and a team of experienced and accredited counsellors
Refuge  Advice and support for women and children fleeing an abuser
Respect Support for men and women facing up to abusive behaviour towards a partner
 Women's Aid Support services for women and children suffering domestic abuse 
Mankind Initiative Support services for male victims suffering domestic abuse
Karma Nirvana  A helpline for Honor Based Abuse in the UK
Papyrus A UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people
Cry-sis A telephone helpline to support parents who have babies and young children who cry excessively and have sleep problems
Fatherhood Institution  A national support organisation for all dads. Some of it's projects focus on helping fathers to support their children's learning
Prisoners Families Helpline A  free and confidential service for anyone who is affected by the imprisonment of a close family member of friend
Relate Provides relationship support for individuals, couples and families
Alcohol Change A list of family support services for those with a  family member struggling with harmful drinking
