We look forward to welcoming you to Great Sankey High School.

If you would like to apply for a place then please see the relevant contact information below, as the process differs if you are applying for a place in our Year 7 intake in September or as an in-year transfer for other year groups.

Omega Multi-Academy Trust is the admissions authority for Great Sankey High School and allocates places with their determined admissions arrangements. Warrington Borough Council is responsible for co-ordinating our admissions and manages all the applications into our school.

Application for Year 7 places for new starters in September

You can only apply online for a Secondary Year 7 place for schools if you live in Warrington. If you live outside Warrington and want to apply for our school, you must apply through the education authority where you live. For all details, deadlines and the online application form please visit the Warrington Borough Council School Admissions website

Applications for in-year transfers

An in-year transfer is when you request for your child to move from one school to another during the academic year because you move house, either within or into Warrington or if you want your child to change schools for other reasons.

If you are moving to Warrington or want to move your child to a Warrington school from another local authority or independent school, you can apply online through the Warrington Borough Council website through their School Admissions pages.

We understand that the transition to a new educational environment can be both exciting and daunting for children and their families. Rest assured, our dedicated staff are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible. Once you have been offered a place, we will be in direct contact with you to provide all the necessary guidance and support needed to ensure your child's smooth integration into our school community.
